Suffer Like a Good Soldier
Scripture
“Join me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. A soldier refrains from entangling himself in civilian affairs, in order to please the one who enlisted him.”
2 Timothy 2:3-4
BSBDevotion
Nobody drifts into discipline. Soldiers train on purpose, on schedule, whether they feel like it or not — because the mission matters more than the mood. Paul calls every believer to that same soldier's mindset: endure hardship, stay focused, don't get entangled in things that pull you off mission. Discipline in your body and discipline in your walk with God are trained the same way — one obedient rep at a time, especially on the days you don't feel like it.
Prayer
Jesus, make me a good soldier. When my feelings say quit, let my obedience say go. Strip away the distractions that entangle me and keep my eyes on the mission You've called me to.
Reflection Question
What distraction is competing for the discipline God is asking of you today?
Foundation
Do one thing today you've been putting off — a walk, a stretch session, drinking water instead of soda. Do it on schedule, not on feeling.
