Press Toward the Goal
Scripture
“Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize of God's heavenly calling in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:13-14
BSBDevotion
Paul wasn't undefeated. He had a past he wasn't proud of. But he refused to let yesterday's failures set today's pace. Instead of replaying old mistakes or old victories, he leaned forward — pressing toward what God had for him next. Your last workout, your last relapse, your last win — none of it gets the final word. Today is a new stretch of the race. Forget what's behind. Press forward.
Prayer
God, thank You that my past doesn't disqualify me from today's calling. Help me stop replaying what's behind and press forward with purpose toward what You have for me.
Reflection Question
What from your past do you need to release so you can press forward without its weight?
Foundation
Start fresh today regardless of how consistent you've been lately. One walk, one stretch — just move forward.
