Run With Endurance
Scripture
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us.”
Hebrews 12:1
BSBDevotion
Endurance isn't just a fitness goal, it's a spiritual command. The writer of Hebrews pictures your life as a race being watched by a great cloud of witnesses — people who finished their race in faith and are cheering you toward the finish line. But you can't run fast carrying extra weight. What's slowing you down isn't just body fat or bad habits. Sometimes it's bitterness, comparison, or fear. Strip it off. Run light. Run long. Run with endurance, because this is a marathon of faith, not a sprint.
Prayer
Father, show me the weight I'm carrying that isn't mine to carry. Help me lay it down at the starting line so I can run the race You've marked out for me with patience and joy.
Reflection Question
What 'weight' — habit, mindset, or relationship — is slowing down your race right now?
Foundation
Go for a slow, steady 10-minute walk or jog. Name one thing you're laying down before you start.
